TOM REESE
Tom Reese is the CEO and founder of Reese Developers, Inc. and has been developing real estate for over 25 years. He started Reese Developers, Inc. in 1990 after selling Reese Insurance Associates, Inc. - a very successful insurance agency that Tom started in 1974 and grew into one of the largest, most respected insurance agencies in the state. Tom received many awards in the insurance industry for his professional accomplishments. However the excitement of creating new, desirable neighborhoods where families really wanted to live and play near where they worked motivated Tom to expand his development activities and start a development company.
Tom was a founding Director in Citizen's Bank in Fayetteville, GA in 1989 and after 10 successful years the bank was sold to BB&T in 1999. In 2000, Tom and nine other local Fayette County business men started Southern Community Bank in Fayetteville with Tom serving as Chairman. The bank has been very successful, expanding to six branches, a loan production office and two new branches being developed. The branches of Southern Community Bank serve Fayette County, Coweta County, Henry County and Clayton County.
Tom has always been active in the community serving on many boards including Director of the Henry Council for Quality Growth, Clayton-Fayette County United Way, Metro South YMCA - Chairman, Metro Atlanta YMCA, Clayton-Fayette Red Cross - Chairman, Metro Atlanta Red Cross, Rotary Club of Fayetteville - Past President, and the Fayette Senior Services.
Tom has served as a deacon and elder in three churches and currently is a member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church located in Newnan, GA.
Tom graduated from Georgia State University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Insurance and a minor in Finance.
Tom is also the managing partner of McIntosh Partners, LLC, an investment and development company for a large planned unit development.
Under his leadership Reese Developers, Inc. has grown into one of the most respected and successful developers in the Southern Crescent developing over 26 communities and other major developments in Fayette County, Coweta County, Henry County, Spalding County and Clayton County. Reese Developers, Inc. is currently developing or has future plans for five major developments with over 4400 homesites with commercial and office space.
Tom is married to Marsha Musick Reese and has five children and nine grandchildren currently. Tom has involved his children extensively in his business where they play key roles in the success of Reese Developers, Inc.
MARK MCCAMMON
Mark McCammon is the President of Reese Developers, Inc. He graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Marketing degree. After college Mark worked at Enterprise Leasing. Mark joined Reese Developers, Inc. in 1993 as a Project Manager. Between 1993 and 1995, he managed the development of Park Place in Fayette County, Thomas Overby Place in Coweta County, Wakefield, Wellsburg Station and Winchester; all located in Sharpsburg, GA in Coweta County. He then began Hampton Shores, Dogwood Lakes and The Woods of Lake Dow in Henry County, GA.
In 1996 Mark co-founded McCammon-Davis-Parden Communities, Inc. with Neal Davis and David Parden. As President of McCammon-Davis Parden, Mark handled all sales and marketing as well as all financial aspects of the company. From 1996 to 2000 McCammon-Davis-Parden built homes in Dogwood Lakes, Hampton Shores, Williams Bluff, Rivercrest, Highland Park and Marsha's Vineyard. McCammon-Davis-Parden was a member of the Certified Professional Homebuilders earning awards - such as Atlanta Journal Constitution Builder of the Week and Quality Builders Warranty Builder of the Month in 2000.
In 2001 Mark became co-owner in three new building companies: The Davis Company Fine Homebuilding, Inc., David Reese Homes, Inc. and David Parden Homes, Inc., companies affiliated with Reese Developers, Inc. These companies have built homes in Coweta, Henry, Spalding, Clayton and Fayette Counties from the low 100s to half a million dollar homes.
Also in 2001 Mark became President of Reese Developers, Inc. overseeing the development activities of the company. His focus is on the management side of the company. Other areas he is involved in are land acquisition, zonings, sales, government affairs, construction of developments and commercial projects.
Mark is married to Priscilla Reese McCammon and they have one son. They are members of Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church. He enjoys coaching Little League Baseball in McDonough and youth football at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy.
PAT HEMBREE
Pat Hembree is Vice President of Land Development and Engineering with Reese Developers, Inc. He is a Registered Professional Engineer who joined Reese Developers, Inc. in July 2004 and has 20 years of civil engineering and management experience. Pat graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. While he was in college, Pat participated in the Cooperative Education Program, working for G. Ben Turnipseed Engineers, a local environmental engineering firm in North Atlanta, from 1984 until his graduation in 1990. Upon graduation, Pat continued to work for this firm in his position as Design Engineer until 1995.
Pat coordinated all aspects of project management and design from inception to completion. Projects consisted of numerous water and sewer systems including collection and distribution lines, pumping stations, treatment plants, land application systems, reservoirs and storage facilities. His work experience also included managing the design of general civil projects involving all aspects of site development for commercial and residential developments.
Some of his duties as Design Engineer involved conducting and supervising field investigations and surveys for various projects, completing project design, preparing regulatory agency submittals, addressing environmental concerns, preparing of technical specifications and contract documents, managing of internal staff including draftsmen, engineers and clerical personnel, construction bidding, contract administration, client relations and construction inspection. Responsibilities also included preparation of engineering reports, design development reports and necessary documents to obtain funding from governmental agencies.
From 1995 to July 2004, Pat served in the position of Engineering Manager and Professional Engineer of Record with the Henry County Water Authority and was later promoted to Division Manager of Engineering, Operations, Industrial Monitoring, and Sewer Line and Pump Station Maintenance. Under this position, Pat had supervisory authority over approximately 120 employees and their managers. In addition to managing the day to day operations of the Water Authority and establishing policies, Pat also served as Engineering and Construction Manager for the various capital improvement projects undertaken by the Authority. Some of these projects included pump stations, elevated water tanks, ground storage tanks, waterline extensions, sewer line extensions, wastewater treatment facilities, water treatment facilities and surface water reservoirs. Pat worked with both the design engineers and the contractors to ensure the Authority received quality construction at a fair market price. While at the Water Authority, Pat also represented the Authority on various committees such as the North Metro Georgia Water Planning District Technical Advisory Committee, the Henry County Comprehensive Land Use Steering Committee, and the Henry County Water Vulnerability Assessment Committee.
In his present position as Vice-President of Land Development with Reese Developers, Pat continues to be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering design, permitting and construction for the various projects undertaken by the company. Some of his experience includes the design of regional detention facilities, culverts, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, roadways, water systems, all aspects of residential subdivision design, commercial site plans and grading plans.
Pat and his family currently reside in Henry County.
ANGEL JOHNSON
Angel Johnson is Vice President of Finance for three building companies affiliated with Reese Developers, Inc. and CFO of Reese Developers, Inc.
She graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Management and minors in Finance, Marketing, and Psychology.
Angel began her career at SunTrust Bank as a Treasury Management Analyst, supporting 5 officers in the Healthcare, Institutional, and Southeast Corporate markets. After two years, Angel was promoted to Treasury Management Officer, managing the non-profit and real estate markets. Angel actively participated in the Association of Financial Professionals and also obtained her accreditation as a Certified Cash Manager.
Using her banking background and her expertise in the residential construction markets, Angel transitioned from banking to the corporate world when she joined Reese Developers in 2002. Her primary objective was to work with three residential construction affiliates in implementing procedures to generate high quality housing for the Henry, Spalding, and Coweta markets.
As chief financial officer, Angel manages all financial aspects of these residential construction companies. She has direct responsibility for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, insurance, pre-closing requirements, budgets, loan applications, quality control, and financial reporting. Angel also actively manages the relationships between her companies and suppliers, bankers, subcontractors, and all other business partners.
Angel resides in Coweta County with her family.
NEIL NORMAN
Neil Norman is Assistant Vice-President with Reese Developers, Inc. and has four major responsibilities. He serves as Erosion Control Manager. Neil is State Certified in erosion control inspection. He is responsible for contacting and scheduling personnel to install and maintain all erosion control measures. He coordinates with all local jurisdictions and the state on all projects for Reese Developers, Inc.
Another area of Neil responsibilities is landscape management. Reese Developers, Inc. always designs and constructs beautiful entrances to our communities and Neil is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the entrances as well as any open/green space that is located in any of our projects.
Neil also oversees the installation of underground utilities for all of our projects.
Neil was the Project Manager for Musick Park. He maintains a close relationship with the county for approvals, inspections and regulatory requirements and works closely with subcontractors to schedule construction activity and see the project through from preliminary plat to final plat approval.
Neil earned a Bachelors Degree from Samford University in 1985. He went on to earned a Master's Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990. Prior to joining Reese Developers, Inc. he was senior minister at Friendship Baptist and Faith Baptist. He has also served as children's minister at River's Edge Church.
Neil lives in Fayette County with his wife and three children.
